I fin around the coral head to get one last look at the green eel and exhale. Bubbles bounce their way through the water heading for the waves above and my eye follows them. They tickle the tummy of one of my favorite future divers who is fighting the waves to snorkel above so she can watch her dad. “When can I dive like you?” comes the question after each Daddy Daughter adventure, “when you’re a little older and we’ve saved a little more” is the standard reply. Her birthday is a week away and it will be time for her to come “down to my level.” What a pleasure it would be to have have my tribe united in adventure as I introduce her to that green eel I know so well. I exhale again, begin my ascent with a sigh, and wish for the day when these two worlds are both “down at my level”.
As you can tell, I love scuba diving, and I love my kids. What might not be as obvious is my desire to share what I see with others, that is, to teach. I love finding creative ways to share what the Lord has allowed me to observe. Hopefully in the pages and videos on this site you will get a sense of that passion. Welcome, enjoy and perhaps we'll meet at some point.
and the story continues....
As the Lord has transitioned us from vocational evangelism and preaching multiple times a week back into the ministry of the local church, I resisted but He is a persuasive God. Over the last years He has shown me that the gifts and talents I was given were designed for that role and the time has come to seek a place a service of His choosing in which they can be utilized.
